We have x + x2 + x3 + ..... + x100
At x = 1 then x + x2 + x3 + ..... + x100
= 1 + 12 + 13 + ...... + 1100
= 1 + 1 + 1 + ..... + 1
= 1 x 100
= 100

Give A=x+x2+x3+..+x100
A=1+12+13+...+1100
A=1+1+1+...+1 ( 100 number 1)
A=100
So the expression x+x2+x3+...+x100 at x=1 is 100
